JP Kempt Barber Social is a legendary barber shop on 351 Divisadero Street in San Francisco owned by Shorty Maniace who has helped open some of the leading barbershops in San Francisco, New York, and Seattle.

Shorty and I struck up a friendship in the midst of the pandemic as his business struggled like so many others. His shop is more than just a place to cut hair but a staple of the community on Divisadero and I wanted to find a way to contribute to a business in my neighborhood.

As it turned out, Shorty was looking to update his business cards and modernize them not only in appearance but also in function. We worked together to come up with a sleek new look and an easy way for customers to book their next appointment by adding a QR code on the back.

It was an extreme pleasure to work with Shorty and we were both thrilled with the final result. If you need a great haircut, then be sure to give JP Kempt a visit.

"Alex was very attentive and set up multiple meetings to make sure that we created a more up-to-date card & logo. When I also expressed interest in a QR code on the back of the card, Alex knew exactly what to do. He knew where to get the cards made and what kind of nice feeling stock to choose. He totally created a card that I now prefer to have in my wallet. It just feels nice now to hand a quality stock business card to someone.
If you’re looking for quality customer service quality graphic design, and just an all-around great guy, Alex is your man."
